Mr. Dong Dasheng, Deputy Auditor General of the National Audit Office of China, attended the 62nd meeting of the INTOSAI Governing Board, held at the premises of the Austrian Parliament in Vienna from 27 to 28 October 2011, before he traveled to Spain for an official visit to the Spanish Court of Audit.
Mr. Dong Dasheng, as the Representative of Mr. Liu Jiayi, Auditor General of China and the First Vice-Chairman of INTOSAI Governing Board, presented to the meeting about the progress of the preparations for the XXI INCOSAI to be held in Beijing in Autumn 2013 as well as the 63rd Meeting of INTOSAI Governing Board scheduled in Chengdu, Sichuan Province in October 28-31, 2012. The Governing Board appreciated the efforts of the National Audit Office of China and approved the following main themes for the XXI INCOSAI:
Theme I: “Governance at National Level and National Audit”;
Theme II: “The Role of SAIs in Safeguarding Long-term Sustainability of Finance Policies”.
The SAIs of China and Mexico have been nominated by Dr. Josef Moser, Secretary General of the INTOSAI as the Theme Chairs and approved by the meeting.
In addition to the 18 members of the Governing Board, the 62nd meeting was attended by rapporteurs of the INTOSAI Committees, Subcommittees, Working Groups, Project Groups and Task Forces as well as representatives of the General Secretariats of all seven Regional Working Groups, with altogether more that 70 participants from 29 INTOSAI member countries.
Following the INTOSAI Governing Board meeting, the Chinese delegation headed by Mr. Dong Dasheng visited the Spainish Court of Audit. Mr. Manuel Núńez Pērez, President of the Spanish Court of Audit held working sessions with Mr. Dong Dasheng and signed Institutional Cooperation Agreement between the SAIs of China and Spain.
