On January 4th 2012 CNAO issued a report on Results of Corrections and Implementation of Audit Recommendations.
According to this report, since Mr Liu Jiayi, Auditor General presented the Report on Central Government Budget Implementation and other Financial Revenues and Expenditures in June 2011 to the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, the State Council has attached great significance to the report and relevant departments as requested by the State Council have strictly implemented the audit recommendations made by CNAO. By the end of October 2011, over ￥14.394 billion of funds has been recovered with over ￥6.66 billion of possible losses avoided and over ￥99.709 billion of funds adjusted in accounts. Following CNAO audit recommendations, over 1581 rules and procedures were newly established or amended and 699 people were given disciplinary punishments, 81 people were prosecuted or sentenced.
