Mr. Hou Kai, Auditor General of the National Audit Office of the People’s Republic of China, met with Minister Bruno Dantas, President of Tribunal de Contas da Uni?o (TCU) of Brazil in Beijing on August 26, 2024.
Mr. Hou said that taking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relationship between China and Brazil as a new starting point, CNAO is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with TCU bilaterally and within the frameworks of INTOSAI, UN Board of Auditors, BRICS SAIs and SAI20. Mr. How highly appreciated Minister Dantas, as Chair of INTOSAI’s proposals on the initiative of Climate Scanner and the setup of INTOSAI Centre for Advanced Studies, and said CNAO supports the proposals that will help better implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Minister Dantas highly valued the friendly relationship between TCU and CNAO, and said TCU is willing to strengthen cooperation with CNAO in various fields such as UN audit and the audit of infrastructure investment. Minister Dantas, Chair of INTOSAI, also hoped to collaborate more closely with Mr. Hou, Secretary General of ASOSAI, for the development of INTOSAI and ASOSAI communities.
